My mind has been focused on Sabbath.
It seems the more I dwell upon it, the more the blessedness of Sabbath sneaks up on me
and gently taps me on the shoulder and instructs.
This past weekend, Carl and I spent a couple of nights at the beach.
It’s easy to focus on the crashing waves more than the calm of low tide.
The ocean has always been one of my most precious teachers.
Last week, my email was hacked, very much a wave of annoyance.
The damage was done but not before I received a few email pleas
asking for guidance regarding Sabbath keeping.
This week, I will offer a few ways that have helped me find rest.
I hope you will join me as we pursue low tide as a necessary refuge
from the crashing surf of weekdays.
