day seventeen-His name

I read this verse before heading to bed last night.

It was on my mind as I awoke this morning.

There is something to be said about what we put before our eyes

and in our minds before we drift off to sleep.

My second thought was that my head cold had not disappeared overnight.

At least that lament didn’t occupy my first thoughts.

We thank you God,

we thank you—-

Your Name is our favorite word;

Your mighty works are all we talk about.

Psalm 75:1 (MSG)

What is your favorite name of God?

Thank Him for that reality all the live long day.

Better yet let it be your final words of praise before

you hit the hay.

If there is a particular name of God that you are in desperate

need of today, ask Him to reveal Himself to you in a brand

new way.

What name of God are you needful of today?

Trust Him to tenderly draw you to His side and the fullness

of His great Name.

I am so thankful that God has been my Refiner this week.

It’s not what I would pick as I have the singe marks to prove.

It has been necessary and as only He could do, it has been tender

yet thorough.

Today I need Him to be my help and hope.

Thank you God that my requests are not in vain or just

wishful thinking.

Teach me to speak about your wonders from

rising to setting of the sun.
