day eleven-putting summer to bed

There is a meeting point.

An intersection mixed with blaring and gentle signposts.

The place where shades of summer are consumed by the hues of autumn.

My body absorbs the chill however my eyes remains unconvinced.

I see a ripening harvest.

I gaze upon mounds of petals.

I spy growth unwilling to be denied.

HELLO THERE!

Look at me!

A seed trail marks the slumber of summer and awakens us to the crunch and cool of fall.

The business of bees is complete.

Sunflowers bow in submission, leaving seeds to enjoy the return trip of scorching rays.

I loved every minute of your presence summer.

Thank you for the gifts and beauty that only come from heat and watering.

I welcome you autumn with open arms and heart.

Even as summer keeps finding itself between my fingertips.

Thanks for reading these semi-regular posts πŸ˜‰ during the 31 days of October.

I have always loved fall for the colors. Now I have a different insight into the changing season. Thank you and God bless. Mor
