goody finale

goody finale

It’s been a fun week of celebrating next week’s

blog anniversary.

Thanks for coming along for the ride and more than that

all my gratitude for reading A Work of Heart.

Today there will be two winners and I hope you think this

little gift is as cute as I do.

Please be kind to my photography skills are sometimes lacking.

Cute little media cases.

The one with the bikes is actually a deep rich brown.

The yellow one is called Roost and the brown one is called Be Spoken.

The deep pocket fits Courtney’s iTouch with a lot of room to spare so I assume

it will fit most Smart Phones and such.

A camera that isn’t too thick would work as well.

Here’s an inside view and a back view.

Since this is something different from earlier in the week,

anyone can enter even if you already won.

But the kicker is, if you are a first time commenter or are a repeat commenter

and haven’t won, you will get two entries.

Already a winner, just one entry.

The first name that is drawn will get their choice of case.

Leave me a comment telling me a word that describes you or that you aspire to

have it describe you.

Winner picked at 9pm PST.

  1. For me this was the toughest question of the week! I couldnt think of a response so I asked my 23yr old daughter to describe me…she said “amazing in every way”! I had to hug her for that! 🙂

  2. I think you know my word….whole-hearted. 🙂 I truly desire to live a surrendered life in order to know Him and His joy, that He might touch others through the overflow of His life in me.

    Thanks, friend!

  3. I’m going to cheat and say two words: Wise encourager. God has wired me to be a natural encourager in many ways, but since a child I have longed to be wise too. I remember the first time I heard the story of Solomon asking God for wisdom above all else and it just left a huge impression on my young mind that Solomon’s request pleased God. As a parent of grown children, I have had many years to see how desperately I need more of His wisdom and how far I have to go in this area. It is a deep longing to not just cheerlead those around me, but to give them God’s wisdom to carry them through the difficulties of life.

I have so enjoyed your blog, Helen. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

  5. “Compassionate” is the word I would choose. I have a heart for the poor, neglected, lonely. But my biggest area of compassion is with children. I grew up poor and was constantly made fun of. I was called ugly, four eyes, they made fun of my clothes. So now that I am entering my 19th yr. of working with kids I know that was my calling from God. I have tried to instill in these children they are worth something and they can make a great life for themselves. I am very touchy when I hear a child making fun of other children. I always tell them my story and how it still affects me today. Now that I am on facebook I am friends with a lot of my students from years ago and also some more recent students. When they put something out there that concerns me I comment and tell them they are not losers, not ugly, not stupid or worthless. God has a plan for these children and I feel blessed that I have been a part of their lives.

  6. Ready.

I am a planner, so I am usually ready for what is coming. But, unlike many planners, I *love* spontaneous, and taking advantage of opportunities as they present themselves. Ready to enjoy what’s next.

Ready to win an adorable little case, too.

Congratulations again. I look forward to your next five years!
