Hey…I passed the 200 posts mark last week…actually it happened without me being aware…whew.
So…I am NOT going to post 200 things about me…but if you would like, you could read the 100 things page…twice! Ha…just kidding!
Thanks for making posting so much fun…thanks for all the encouragement!
Speaking of encouragement…my sweet blog friend Karen blessed me last week with this award:
Isn’t that nice…Karen is also one of the cover to cover bloggers…please check out her site A Time for Everything…she has a great sense of humor and a huge heart for the Lord. Thank you so much Karen…you always leave me such dear comments…I send the love right back at cha!
Rumor has it that you are supposed to play a bit of a word association game by answering with only one word (I will try) and then nominate seven other blogs for this award as well…here goes:
- Bev at The King is Enthralled
- Ann at Mission-Minded LIFE
- Gracie at gracenotes
- Mrs. Jules at Casa de Jules-I hope you will be back at it soon.
- Bo at Difference of Day
- Ruth at Comfort Cafe
- Sandy at 4 Reluctant Entertainers
Check these blogs out…I think you will find that they are very diverse in their focus but all excellent …enjoy!
I am really enjoying memorizing this month…I have started kind of slowly but I think that I am enjoying savoring the verses…paying attention to words that stand out…mulling over what familiar words like “sacrifice” or “mercy” or “sober judgment” really mean…what do they mean to me? Sounds a bit like apple cider in the autumn…so you could say that I am drinking in the fragrant and delicious liquid of the Word right now…making sure it doesn’t burn my tongue when it seems a bit hot but enjoying it as it runs down my throat and warms my insides.
Here’s what I have committed to memory so far:
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.”
Roman 12: 1-3
Have a blessed day,
