PSALM 61: 1-4

PSALM 61: 1-4

This portion of this psalm has been very precious to me…it has been words that I have uttered at night when sleep would not come and I could not find any original words to pray…it has been a reminder that when troubles seem to be front and center before my eyes and God seems like He is literally at the ends of the earth…He still hears me and He will act in His time but in the meantime, He will be my refuge and my protector.

“Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth
I call on you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.

I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.”
