MATTHEW 11: 28-30 TIMES 3

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”   (NIV)

“Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you’ll recover your life.  I ‘ll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.  Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
(The Message)

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest.  I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle, meek, humble and lowly in heart, and you will find rest , relief , ease , refreshment, recreation and blessed quiet for your souls.

For My yoke is wholesome, useful, good and not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing but comfortable, gracious and pleasant and My burden is light and easy to be borne.”  (Amplified)

  • May these words written 3 times in 3 different ways bring you rest and comfort today and may you lay down your burdens today to the Only One who can sufficiently and effectively carry them.  Remind those who you love of these words.

  1. C.I. says:

Ah, yes! Those unforced rhythms of grace that we all long for…to truly walk with the Father in step with His, not trying to get Him to match our gait, but waiting to hear the rhythm of His heartbeat and His purposes. Timing is everything isn’t it? And He promises that if we wait for His lead that we will live freely and lightly. Wow…that’s an offer I don’t want to refuse. I loved seeing His promise written three different ways. 🙂
